Samuel B. Coco, Chairman and President: Mr. Coco was the President and Director of Cabot Corporation, a Fortune 300 company, and played a key role in building its Carbon Black Division to a position of world dominance resulting in 33% of total world capacity and market share. During his tenure with Cabot, Mr. Coco was a major contributor to the acquisition and building of manufacturing plants worldwide and has extensive experience in international and joint ventures, technology and shareholder agreements as well as global sales and marketing. Mr. Coco has a long and successful track record of providing leadership in developing new products to meet customer needs and developing processes to improve efficiency. He also holds distinguished roles with prominent civic organizations in and around Boston including: Co-Chairman of the Board of Overseers of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital; Trustee Emeritus and President Circle Member, Mass College of Pharmacy; Corporation Member, Partners Healthcare; Overseer, Newton-Wellesley Hospital; and Board and Executive Committee Member, Wellesley Community Center. Mr. Coco holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, completed the Senior Management Program at M.I.T. and served in the U.S. Army.
Duane Mayo, Chief Executive Officer: Mr. Mayo has served as the Companys Chief Financial Officer since August 2002. From August 2001 to August 2002, Mr. Mayo was Chief Financial Officer of MEMSIC, Corp. a supplier of MEMS based accelerometers. From March 1999 to August 2001, Mr. Mayo was Chief Financial Officer of Standard MEMS, Corp. a semiconductor manufacturer of MEMS based products. From March 1995 to March 1999 he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary, Treasurer and as a director of Augment Systems, Corp., a publicly traded company providing server products. From April 1993 through February 1995, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Xerographic Laser Images Corporation, a publicly held company involved in the development of resolution enhancement technology. From April 1988 to April 1993, Mr. Mayo was Corporate Controller for Howtek, Corp., a publicly held company and supplier of desktop scanners for the color pre-press marketplace. He holds a BS degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley College.
Donald H. Harper, Director and Vice President: Mr. Harper enjoyed a long and distinguished career with Cabot Corporation where he held numerous executive level positions in the Carbon Black Division. During the course of his tenure, his roles included Director of European Marketing Services, International Marketing Manager, Director of Purchasing, Managing Director of Cabot Argentina and Worldwide Director of Raw Materials. With extensive experience in global marketing and sales development, Mr. Harper played a critical role in developing international sales that resulted in double-digit revenue growth for over three decades. In addition to his role with Electrolyzer Corp., he runs his own consulting firm, Harper and Company, specializing in developing strategic initiatives for successful international trade. On a recent project, he managed an international team that successfully started a mineral exploration and refining joint venture in Central Asia. Under his leadership, this team secured the largest area mineral license ever awarded in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the first ever in Kazakhstan. Mr. Harper currently serves on the boards of Sales & Marketing Search, a national recruiting firm for technology companies; and, RPP Corporation, a leading custom molder of dynamic seals for process control industries. Mr. Harper holds a BA from Princeton University and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
Patrick Lucci, Vice President of Marketing: Mr. Lucci has been a marketing executive in the technology industry for more than twenty years. He has developed and implemented marketing programs for hardware and software primarily in the areas of PC graphics, audio, video and multimedia. He has been a senior marketing executive with public and private technology companies such as Number Nine Visual Technologies, Integrated Circuit Systems and Hercules Computer Technologies. He was also Director of Broadcast Services at Gray Strayton International and was a partner at Lucci & Stringer. He guest lectures on marketing technology products and companies at Babson College, and has won more than 15 industry awards for marketing products including The Award for Technical Excellence from PC Magazine.
